2.  Tax credit can help employers hiring new workers


Employers can take advantage of a valuable tax credit when hiring long-term unemployment recipients and other workers with employment barriers. The Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) is a long-standing income tax benefit that encourages employers to hire unemployed and disabled veterans, and other recipients of public assistance.
