Subject: Migration of e-Services Sign-In for Modernized e-File (MeF) Applications


New Sign-In Options for Users Coming in Summer 2022

The IRS will soon transition all e-Services tools to a new sign-in system. Existing users don't need to take any action at this time. E-Services users with an active IRS username may continue to sign in after the transition. More details to come.

The transition affects the following MeF applications:

  • MeF e-File Application
  • MeF Automated Enrollment (AE)
  • MeF Internet Filing Application (IFA)
