Subject:  Important Update: Attention Affordable Care Act (ACA) Software Developers, Transmitters and Issuers using ISS-User Interface (UI) Channel

Starting today, June 16, 2019, some users of ISS-UI Channel must take additional steps to verify their identities and continue access. Returning users who must meet this one-time requirement automatically will be redirected when they login with their existing username and password.

IMPORTANT NOTE: No action may be necessary for users who have previously provided financial account or mobile phone information as part of an identity verification process for another tool. This includes users who already have access to IRS e-Services, ACA Application for Transmitter Control Code or personal tools such as Get Transcript or IP PIN.

The IRS urges users to take this additional step as soon as possible so that they may continue their immediate access. Prior to attempting to verify your identity, the IRS suggests you review your options for verification and what items you may need:

See "Security Upgrade" on the Affordable Care Act Information Returns (AIR) page on IRS.gov.

If you need assistance contact the ACA Help Desk at 1-866-937-4130.
