Those interested in attending the ITIN Process Webinar can register via the ITIN Process Webinar Registration Page. Please remember to test your system using the test link located at the bottom of the registration page to ensure you are able to view the content. Attendees will learn and discuss what an ITIN is, identifying the difference between a social security number and an ITIN, and determining its use. Additionally, the webcast will explain the process of applying for an ITIN. There will be a discussion about the documents taxpayers need to submit, how to properly complete the application, informing taxpayers and tax practitioners where to send their respective applications, the various manners in which taxpayers may apply, and the timing concerning when to apply.  The webcast will discuss recent changes to the ITIN procedures resulting from the Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes (PATH) Act and will provide information on what taxpayers need to do in case they need further assistance.   This webinar will be open to the public and free of charge.
