The frequently asked questions on the website have details about how to do this. Once preparers have an account, they can take courses on a wide variety of topics to help them serve their individual and business clients. Here are the new courses available for 2019:
When creating an account, preparers should make sure the name and preparer tax identification number in the account matches the information in the IRS PTIN system. This ensures the IRS Return Preparer Office can accept the continuing education credit. Until they complete the email address verification, preparers will not have access to the review questions or the final examination. Preparers will not be able to receive continuing education credit until this is done.
